Financial stress is on the rise, with U.S. household debt hitting a record $17.5 trillion and the average American carrying $21,800 in personal debt. People want to help, but they crave transparency and direct impact. Studies show 60% of donors need to see their contributions matter—40% won’t give otherwise—and 62% prefer giving directly to individuals, with that number jumping to 76% for ages 18-24. Meanwhile, corporations donated $37 billion in 2023, yet the impact often fades by the time it reaches those in need.
Enter Standard Giving Co., a new direct-giving platform from M13 Launchpad that connects creators, talent, and brands with their communities to ease financial burdens while boosting engagement and loyalty. I’ve been brought on by M13 to design the initial MVP, including the Partner Sign-Up Flow, Subscription Page Flow, Beneficiary Sign-Up Flow, and core pages needed for a first test run with social influencer Zachary Derenlowski (mdmotivator).
